The pretty countryside small town – Bowral

We finally visited Bowral – a really pretty town that’s 2.5 hours away from Sydney. I always wanted to visit this place because I had seen Bridgerton cast go there and promote the new season 3 with the beautiful Bridgerton style setup that was mainly all about the vintage looking house, fountains, royal greenery be it plants, flowers, trees that resonated with the series’ theme to the fullest.

We left pretty early around after 8:30 in the morning as we were up early – Me by 5:20 and A by 6:45. As summer is approaching and it’s spring time, the weather gods blessed us with a nice fine sunny day, a day you would love love to be out if you live in Australia specially Sydney. Our journey was filled with us seeing beautiful homes of people living in the outskirts of the city, talking what it would feel like to live like that even if we got a big house but less connectivity to the main Sydney City be it eastern, western, north Sydney. Well, this would surely be a nice discussion for the future. A was a bit pissed in a light way though because our Google maps was taking us through weird roads, in between several suburbs and not from a proper highway. Well, that passed too as we were then on the motorway driving smoothly towards ~ Bowral! 🎀

We were jamming on Spotify and that made the drive even more fun because we both get to play songs we like. I was queuing up my top fav songs which A liked as well like – A Bar Song by Tipsy, Dermot by Fred again, Shotgun by George Ezra, we also talked about how A couldn’t get Coldplay tickets and how and me too almost know all their songs, so, I queued up a few Coldplay songs too like Something Just Like This, and then a few amazing Chainsmokers songs too like Young, Paris, and Honest. It was just lovely!

Love Australian highways/motorways

As we neared Bowral, I started looking up good places we could go to for a croissant and maybe coffee. We had got food from home – Sev Usal (Loved by Gujjus like us). I also looked up a few other must visit places, typing a typical ‘things to do in Bowral’ like a tourist and also found the Tulip garden we aimed to go to as well.

We went to Corbett Gardens first because they were hosting the Tulip Festival and a little flea market as well. I can say I saw Tulips for the first time and those vibrant flowers were something else. It was like they knew they were SOMETHING GREAT and that people had come to admire them- which was true, right!

Not sure if the above photos do complete justice to what our eyes saw but I think these look nice! I mean, isn’t it always like this? At times pictures don’t do justice to what eyes can see. I realised this fact after coming to Australia because before I was like a complete photos girlie who loved clicking photos and uploading them on the gram! But now, even though the love for posing and clicking hasn’t gone, I have understood to not share my life uselessly on the gram LOL. Well so moving ahead, we saw many different types of Tulips in the garden, clicked a lot of pics HAHA because we had payed $15 to get in and we don’t get to see tulips every day so even A gave in and indulged in photo session with me which I LOVED! Haha, he’s not into photos as I am so whenever he’s willing to clicks the pics, I love those moments.

After that, we went to famous Patisserie over there named Gumnut Patisserie and had pasties and Almond croissant along with a large Mocha!

It was the rush hour for them apparently!

Post that, went for a silly Venables Park visit in search of blossomed cherry blossoms, only to go and see that the entire was not blossomed and it was just a normal park. But hey! We got that good 20 min walk so worth it? Yep.

Then we finally decided to leave the pretty town and go see the Belmore Falls. It was a great lil adventure because after driving there and just before 5 mins of reaching there, we realised our car would not be able to pass through a particular uneven road surface because it wasn’t heightened enough from the front.

The road you can see ahead was not great enough for our car.

We later parked our car somewhere behind and walked till the lookout. To our surprise, it was a magnificent view and we were glad we walked and did not take the car ahead.

Post that, we went to the Fitzory Falls which was okay and then while heading home, we stopped at The Famous Robertson pies and had one vegetable pie and our Sev usal.

It was surely a day well spent in the sun, in a very pretty countryside town with good food and the best company!
